I thought this would teach us how to read and finish a novel at an All-You-Can-Eat restaurant without being asked to leave. Wow … was I pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for doing this case study and sharing it. “Content buffet” is a great metaphor.

At first I thought, “Oh, they’re talking about a content portal or web magazine.” But, I think you showed that you can (need to) go beyond those concepts.

If I understood correctly, if I was picking up what you were putting down, interaction with readers, through comments, guest posts, polls, etc … is a key piece of the puzzle. That changed my original idea of “content buffet” from cookie cutter franchise buffet with mostly strangers, to large family reunion buffet with mostly friends (except for loud Uncle Ted and his off color comments who nobody can stand).

Plus, I heard someone use the word “arduous” during the presentation. Awesome.

You guys are so awesome. I am a transcriptionist/closed captioner for University Alliance which organizes and produces the classes for USF online courses and one of my first projects was providing a transcript of all of the lectures the three of you, Jim Krukal and a couple of others have for those courses. One of the perks of my job is that I get to glean information from the courses. I learned so much from this course and became excited about affliliate marketing. I’m just beginning my journey but wow what a leg up the great knowledge and ideas you guys give so freely. What a great site this is and this is an amazing webinar. Thanks so much Todd and Lisa…as well as Kim for sharing what you have learned the hard way so that those of us just starting out can start out a little further down the process than would otherwise be possible. I’m listening and reading over and over again to absorb everything. Here’s hoping I’m able to translate it into a great affiliate career. Thanks again.
